Hello, Friday.

Sorry, no post yesterday, it was a fairly busy day with the Mister & the Furbabies. Plus, I was feeling a little bit under the weather. But, I'm feeling a bit better today though, hooray! And, I won a $25 gift card from FedEx for entering into their $1 Million Gift Card Giveaway. I was one out of 40,000 people to win a $25 giftcard, how exciting is that?!?!

Another hooray, is that I finally finished the first crochet Christmas present of the season. This little blanket is for my baby cousin Jon Michael who was just born in August. His Mommy & Daddy are huge Green Bay Packer fans, so I knew I had to do something special for them. The lettering is a little off, but it was my first time every working with crochet letters & half of them had no pattern. I just kind of winged it. But all in all, I really like how it came out. :)

I go shopping once a month at Costco. I love Costco since it seems to be the only way I can feed the Mister & I for around $200 a month. On our most recent trip to Costco, I came across these "Rice Crackers" & thought I would give them a try. OH-MY-GOODNESS! These are amazing. To me they taste like Sushi. They are mainly made of rice & soy, some have a bit of seaweed in them. Others are spicy, like the Wasabi coated peanuts. I've never been a fan of "crackers" but these, well I find them freaking addicting! If you are a Sushi fan & have a Costco Membership, I would totally buy these & give them a try! The best part is, if you don't like them, Costco will take them back, no questions asked. So, there really is no reason to not try them! :)

Really not much to say other than, I love my little craft stash! :)

Our Christmas cards are finished, they are ready to be addressed & mailed out! Is anyone else ready for Christmas? I'm ready to decorate! We bought that cute little bear up there from Michael's are few weeks ago. He's my first Christmas decoration of the year. I couldn't resist picking him up, he is just way too adorable! I'm also going to attempt a Nightmare Before Christmas themed mural on our large front window this year. I have never done it before, but I am sure I can figure it out. lol. If not, it will wash off just fine. With it being so cold lately, I've really been looking forward to setting up our tree & putting up all those pretty little twinkling lights. I think with the loss of our Loki boy, we really need something to brighten up the mood in our house.

I spent today with the furbabies. They were all up on the couch so I decided to sit & take pictures of them all. They really do make our house a home & I do not ever want to imagine how quite it would be in our home without them. We've already lost a big part of our fur family, & it's been really hard on not only us but for the rest of the gang as well.

I'm going to be starting on a new crochet project, just something small for the Mister. I'm still looking for just the right beanie pattern. He needs something to keep his bald head warm in the winter. lol. Anywho, that was my Friday... Hope you had a great one!

I'll leave you with a couple questions...
1.) Are you ready for Christmas?
2.) When do you usually start decorating for the Holidays?

  1. Absolutely LOVE all your yarn!!! I wish I could find an old grandma who wasn't using her yarn anymore to sell it too me for a good deal lol. I am always in need of yarn and I really don't care what color either lol.

    That blanket is amazing! WOW!

    1. I know, I don't crochet too often, but I still love the thought of having TONS of yarn. All different colors & types! I'm obsessed, I guess. lol.

And thank you, it took me a while to figure out what the heck I was doing with the blanket. Can't wait to ship it out & see pictures of it with my baby cousin.

  2. We just moved a few months ago and our new town doesn't have Costco. We mourn not being able to grab some dinner rolls and all the other great stuff from Costco. Aah!

Thanks for linking up with the Weekend Blog Walk!

    Hi! It's Jilly

    1. Hello!

I grew up in California, where we always had a Costco. After moving to Pennsylvania the closest one was nearly two hours away, it just wasn't worth it. Then, they opened one up a little less than an hour away from me a little over a year ago. I couldn't wait for them to open. I saw them building it & went completely bonkers... My Fiance couldn't figure out what the big deal was until I showed him how much money we saved. We buy the same stuff every week anyway, it's just more cost effective for us to buy in bulk. :)

Hopefully they build you a Costco soon!!!!

  3. Hi there. Thank you for following Carole's Chatter. I am following you right back. Hope you have a super week.
